23.10.2015 Assignment Or Food Hunt?

A day at New Straits Times headquarter for assignment purpose to fulfill course requirement as our main focus in this first year is journalism.

Even though I'm not so interested in journalism but it feels good when you get to skip class legally hahaha.

So this was my second time visiting a news agency.
The first time was during my days as a student reporter (Xueji.) at Sin Chew Daily,
we got to go to Sin Chew Daily headquarter so often.
And yes I joined Xueji for the sake of learning to organize activities not to write news and stuffs.
News is really not my thing I have never produce any good piece of news in my life,
be it in exams, assignments or contests.

Lecturer assigned two person to go to each agency on each day,
and I'm with Xi Yuan again.

Took train all the way to Bangsar and walked quite a long way to reach this Balai Berita.
But we ended up entering the wrong building and confusing the people there such embarrassing huh.

Three newspapers companies under the same agency.
This is outside their employees canteen.
Their canteen food looks pricey though.
Syukur selalu means always be thankful.

The lost kids finally found their way to the right office.
The editor wasn't there yet so the kids sneaked out for breakfast without the fear of losing their way again lol.

A very nice and unique hidden cafe in Bangsar!
It's located inside the news agency area so perhaps not much people notice it.
The design is so vintage and instaworthy haha.

Stop and smell the coffee. :)

Had this big breakfast and it tasted good even though a little bit overpriced for such content and portion.
But there's one thing I want to mention,
their vegetables are fresh and good.
My first time finishing vegetables in a meal! Clap for me hahahaha.

Even though I'm neither a coffee addict nor a coffee lover,
to be exact I don't even enjoy coffee,
but it's a must try while cafehopping.

This super duper mini cup of coffee costs me around ten bucks,
seriously a bit overpriced since I can get a cup of the exact same thing which is double the size of this at around thirteen bucks.

I still love VCR Cafe's mocha the most after trying out so many others.

Anyway,
definitely a good place for Instagram photos.

Alright enough of enjoyment back to our main purpose of the day,
to see and know more about how a journalist works and how a news agency runs and publishes news.

All our other friends got to follow journalists everywhere for assignment, press conferences, products launchings and one group even got to go for food event.
Free food is loved omggg much jealous.
And the worst thing was,
both of us didn't get to go out because that day was the budget 2016 announcement day everyone else were too busy like wtfff we had to stay in the office for a whole freaking day reading newspapers. /.\

Lunch break with the intern seniors there. Finally got to go out and breathe in some fresh air.
Thank you for the refreshing soya bean I truly appreciate people treating me my favourite drinks like it's not the price but the heart that matters. ♡

Randomly walked around the whole news agency building and wow they have so many great facilities for their employees.
A great place for workout addicts.

Some company sponsored food for journalists on this hectic budget day and the two unknown invaders got to eat again hahaha free food for life. (Y)

Not much assignment done but much food went into stomach kind of day.
