Malacca Two Days One Night Trip

Have been leaving my blog aside for quite some time as I'm so not motivated to update on my ordinary daily life anymore, but since my friend asked me for my Malacca trip itinerary, it kinda gives me an idea on updating it on my blog too.

I always have that dream of becoming a content creator but the environment I'm growing up in doesn't allow me to have good contents yet, as I don't get to travel everywhere like a lot people do. For so many times I wanted to give up on this dream that seems very far away from me, because reality hits me really hard as I grow up, but I keep telling myself not to, I'm still young, one day I'll achieve my dream with my own efforts.

Anyway, here's my Malacca two days one night trip itinerary if anyone of you wants to refer to. Just do take note that this is solely a food hunt trip, we didn't visit any tourist spots like those historical buildings and what not, therefore it might not be suitable for first time visitors.

Transport:
We took a bus from TBS to Malacca Sentral straight as it's really convenient and cheap!
The ticket can be purchased online via https://eticketing.tbsbts.com.my/.
Just register an account, make an online purchase, screenshot the QR code and flash it at the counter before boarding the bus. The ticket prices only range from RM10 - RM15.

However, it's good to have your own transport in Malacca as the public transports there aren't so convenient. We were planning to rent a car in Malacca in the beginning, but were lucky enough to have our bestie who studies in Malacca to come fetch us at Malacca Sentral and gave us comfortable rides throughout the two days.

Accommodation:
We stayed at Chong Hoe Hotel located at Jonker Street which is really strategic. Upon walking out from the hotel you can already see food places and just a few minutes walk to several famous cafes or restaurants at Jonker Street.

It's a kinda small hotel but highly recommended by us because to our surprise, it's very clean. For me the most important thing when going for a trip would be a clean hotel room as it's the place we rest and relax ourselves after a long day out, plus I'm really particular when it comes to hotel rooms because I can't fall asleep if the room is not up to my standard.

And of course the rate is very reasonable as for a room with two queen size beds, air conditioned with private bathroom, it only costs us RM110 per night dividing by four persons, it's less than RM30 per person, I would say totally worth it.

Day One: Reach Malacca Sentral - Donald and Lily - Mahkota Parade + Nadeje - Klebang Original Coconut Shake - Pantai Klebang - Check In - Ban Lee Siang Satay Celup - Jonker Street - Geographer Cafe

We took a 10.30 a.m. bus and reached Malacca Sentral at around 1 p.m. Upon reaching we straight went for our lunch at Donald and Lily. Perhaps because of weekend there was a pretty long queue but luckily we got our seats after around half an hour. The restaurant serves traditional Nyonya cuisine and the food we ordered were pretty good.

We ordered Mee Rebus, Nasi Ayam Pongteh (Pongteh chicken with rice), Nasi Ayam Rendang (Rendang chicken with the special blue rice), Rojak and Cendol. I so wanted to try the Nyonya Laksa but too bad it was sold out so I tried the Nasi Ayam Pongteh instead. The soup was very good!

The food portion was kinda big so we decided to take a walk before heading to our next food place. Since Nadeje is located inside Mahkota Parade mall we went into the mall and walked around for a while. My only feeling was wow so many cheap and pretty clothes but no I'm not gonna buy any this is not a shopping trip and KL has got a lot more shopping malls hahaha.

Second stop, Nadeje cake shop. It does have some branches back in KL but most people say this is the nicest of all! We only managed to try one flavour because we were so full from the Nyonya food just now lol. This is the Mother's Day special mango passion fruit slice yes my favourite mango!

Not to forget the lighting there is super good for photos! And we had a quality wefie time there.

Next, Klebang Original Coconut Shake. It's a must try in Malacca, a coconut milkshake with vanilla ice cream as topping, matches perfectly with the scorching hot weather in Malacca. The nasi lemak and assorted kuih there are must try as well, especially my favourite keropok lekor which tastes so good compared to all the others out there, so crispy outside and chewy inside I'm already starting to miss the keropok lekor hmm.

The coconut shake and snacks sell very fast so please go early if you really want to try them. Even though we went there during Ramadhan (Fasting month) it was full house so I can totally imagine how crowded it would be if it's not during the fasting month.

After a great teatime we continued our journey to Pantai Klebang (Klebang beach) as it's located nearby the coconut shake place. Heard that it's kinda hard to search on Waze or Google Map so better ask around the locals they will show you the way.

Please remember to bring along your shades and apply sunblock because it's really very hot and sunny and got me sweating like I don't know what hahaha.

It was so hot we didn't even want to get out from the car! Wasted a lot of time chit-chatting in the car and took turn to touch up our lips after so much eating but no we aren't getting rid of the air-conditioner!

The place looks kinda like a desert but because Malaysia doesn't have a desert everyone started to come here and it slowly became a tourist spot lol. Vehicles are not allowed to go in so we had to walk for around 15 minutes to reach the so called Klebang beach. I forgot to take a tourist shot along the way so here's one screenshot from my video haha.

And million thanks to my bestie for this photo!

Some group photos when we almost reaching!

Precious shot after we finally reached the destination.

Sorry I was busy adjusting my cap and my hair so awkward pose it is.

And guess what we were truly unfortunate where it just started raining so heavily right after we reached the desert. We walked all the way there but not even five minutes of enjoying the breeze and taking some decent photos it just rained, and it was so heavy until our umbrellas could fly off. We had no choice but to quickly walk back to our car but anyhow the sand was very hard to walk on. So when we finally arrived at our car our whole body was soaking wet and our shoes and legs full of sand omg.

Wearing slippers or sandals there is not a good idea because all the sand will go into your slippers or sandals but wearing covered shoes is also a big no, unless you are very sure that the weather will be good on that day. At first I was thinking wow I'm so smart to wear covered shoes so the sand can't invade me but when it rained, my Nike became so wet and dirty my heart was so painful lol.

Then after this unpleasant incident we went back straight to our hotel to check in and take shower. Our plan at first was to dinner first before checking in as our dinner place will make our hair smelly but then had to switch to plan B because we were already so sticky and smelly with the rainwater.

Okay after a good shower and a short rest in our hotel room we finally went for dinner, Ban Lee Siang Satay Celup. It's actually not satay it's Lok Lok dipped in a special peanut sauce which is kinda spicy. For people who can't take much spiciness like me please don't dip your food in the sauce for too long because it would become extra spicy, especially mushrooms and vegetables, for meat still okay la they won't absorb much spiciness haha. It's good to eat with the bread and cucumbers served on each table if you can't stand the spiciness. Anyway it felt good having to take all you want from a huge fridge with a big variety of choices and each stick is only RM1.10!

After the satisfying dinner we had a good walk around Jonker Street which is so near to our hotel but too bad Sin Yee wasn't feeling well so she kinda missed out the fun part. There's a night market here during weekend and even the shops here have so many cute things to see.

So many cute and cheap decorations for your home!

My besties found me something very compatible with my phone case hahaha. Cats are so my style.

I saw a lot of pick up lines but this one was the best of all.

What's a gathering without beer? After we got tired of walking we headed to Geographer Cafe for beer. They have two shops at Jonker Street, one with live band and singer all while another one is the quiet one. Too bad the happening one was fully occupied so we went to the peaceful one, there's a television showing what's happening on the other side lol. The beer was average but I wonder what's the ingredient inside which made us so high after drinking it hahaha it never happened in my life okay. We were still very alert while walking back to our hotel but we felt very happy and couldn't stop laughing wtf.

Day Two: The Baboon House - Check Out - Head to Malacca Sentral

Second day is always the lazy day haha. Woke up and walked to The Daily Fix Cafe but the queue was super duper long and required at least a 40 minutes wait to be seated. So we decided to give up and walked randomly until we found this cafe called The Baboon House. Anyway no regrets walking in randomly.

The signature food here is burger but I didn't feel like eating a burger this early morning so I ordered a breakfast set instead. The food was pretty good and the lighting was perfect too for food pictures as well as portraits.

Very nice ambience and pretty environment. The menus are all handmade and very cute too!

Golden opportunity to have some decent photos finally. I go everywhere must take photos and update on my Instagram okay hahaha.

Accidentally took this photo when I was adjusting my selfie stick but it turned out so decent hmm.
